Mary's Wedding

by Stephen Massicotte, April 2011

Set in the tumultuous years of World War I, this tender and poignant story of innocent first love takes us back in time as Mary recalls her arrival in Canada, her chance meeting with Charlie in a barn during a rainstorm and the strength and beauty of young love.
On the eve of her wedding to another man from the Canadian prairies, Mary's dream of her first love takes us to the mud soaked trenches of war-torn Europe in 1914.
